Search Engine Optimisation (SEO):

SEO is one of the first and still strongest types of digital marketing you’ll come across. 94% of all the clicks in search results go to organic listings – not PPC. The methods have changed over the years; but the aim is still generally the same. Get you higher up in the list when your customers do Google searches.
What is it?
SEO is a type of marketing which main goal is to get you to rank higher up in Google searches.
Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of affecting the visibility of a website or a web page in a web search engine's unpaid results—often referred to as "natural", "organic", or "earned" results.

 In general, the earlier (or higher ranked on the search results page), and more frequently a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine's users; these visitors can then be converted into customers. 

SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, video search, academic search, news search, and industry-specific vertical search engines.

 SEO differs from local search engine optimization in that the latter is focused on optimizing a business' online presence so that its web pages will be displayed by search engines when a user enters a local search for its products or services. The former instead is more focused on national searches.
As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work, what people search for, the actual search terms or keywords typed into search engines and which search engines are preferred by their targeted audience. 
Now, SEO can be split up into two separate categories; On-Page SEO & Off-Page SEO 
On-Page SEO refers to all the things that you can do ON your website to help you rank higher, such as page titles, internal linking, meta tags & descriptions, etc.

Off-Page SEO refers to all the things that you can do directly OFF your website to help you rank higher, such as social networking, article submission, forum & blog marketing, etc.

On-Page Search Engine Optimisation:

1. Page Titles

Your page titles are one of the most important SEO factors on your site. Each of your pages & posts should have its own unique title, which includes the main keywords for that page.

2. Meta Descriptions

The meta description tag in HTML is the 300 character snippet used to a web page's content. Search engines sometimes use these snippets in search results to let visitors know what a page is about before they click on it.

3. Meta Tags

For each of your pages, you can include a set of keywords in the form of meta tags. These should be all the relevant keywords of your content, which you will have researched previously.

4. URL Structure

Including search engine friendly URLs for each of your pages is highly recommended, as these bring better crawling. Shorter URLs seem to perform better in search engine results, however that is not the only factor.

5. Body Tags (H1, H2, H3, H4, etc.)

When writing your articles, you should break up your content into smaller sections & paragraphs to make it easier for people to read. These sections can be given heading, which is where H1, H2,H3, H4, etc. tags are used.

6. Keyword Density

Including relevant keywords throughout your content is very important, as it helps search engines work out what your content is about. However, try not to excessively repeat and overuse keywords just for search engine robots. This can lead to your site being banned

from search engines.

7. Image SEO

Using images within your content is a great way to make your site more visually appealing and break up boring chunks of text. You can utilise these images to help improve your site SEO.

8. Internal Linking

Placing links to your other website pages, is a great way of improving your site and used properly,internal links can be a useful weapon in your SEO arsenal. Not only does it make it much easier for your visitors to navigate around your site and find all of your content, but it also ensures that your site gets properly crawled allowing the search engines to find all of your pages. It also helps to build the relevancy of a page to relevant keywords and phrases, whilst also helping to increase the Google PageRank of your pages.
There are a number of different methods that you can use to improve your internal linking structure. The main being; content links and permanent navigation links


Off-Page Search Engine Optimisation:

DIRECTORIES SUBMISSIONS:
Directories are used to fetch websites online when there were no search engines are available like Google, yahoo, Bing Etc. Due to the lack of getting relevant results for related search queries, directories has fell down and at the same time Search engines were become more popular. Since no one used directories to search websites online. But still search engines are gives best priority to the backlinks getting from directory submission sites.

Why do we use it ?
Directory submission is an off page technique used to build backlinks for your website and also drive some traffic. Directories are rarely crawled by search engines today as they are considered ‘thin sites’ with very less content.

History of Social Bookmarking:
Social Bookmarking sites are created with the purpose of bookmarking and sharing your favorite online WebPages with your connections. As internet growing up itself, Social Bookmaking sites has become more powerful and useful.

Why do we use it ?
As I mentioned above social bookmarking sites with the only purpose of bookmarking and sharing favorite websites with your connections, In meantime these sites provides great backlinks and related traffic to website.

History of Classified Sites:
As we advertising on Newspapers, Televisions, some of Online Classifieds sites has come up with the purpose of online advertisement. In those sites, some of them are free and some of them may ask you money to advertise on their classifieds submission sites.
